MWPImages had a blast working with a few of the Mooresville High School students before prom.

I thought we would share just a little behind the scenes action, so you could see just how much fun we have on our shoots.  Prom is such an awesome time!  Everyone is dressed up in their formal attire and headed for an evening of fun!  Why not get some cool images to remember the night?  Considering I didn’t shoot the behind the scenes stuff, it was rather interesting to see the shenanigans that was taking place while I was shooting. We definitely can’t wait until next year, and hopefully we can have a much larger pre-party!

Photography Intro Course | Register Now

The Photography Intro Course will make sure you’re in control of your camera, and it’s not controlling you.  Did you receive your new camera for Christmas, which you have no clue where to begin?  Maybe, you just haven’t had the time to learn the camera basics.  Well now is the time! If you are shooting in auto mode, then your camera is truly in control of you and your images.  Let me help you move from auto to manual and take full control of your images. I guarantee this is the only way to capture what your eyes are seeing in real life.

Photography Intro Course Details

This class will be 4 weeks of introduction to the basic photography principals, which can be applied to most cameras that you may lay your hands on.  You don’t need the most expensive camera on the market to create beautiful images.  If you understand the principals, you will have the ground work laid to expand upon later.  During the class we will cover topics such as Exposure, ISO, Aperture, Shutter Speed and how to control these things on your personal camera.  All of our class sizes are small with no more than 10 students at a time, so you will be able to have personal attention and have your specific questions answered.

October 3rd – October 24th 2017, Tuesdays 6pm – 8pm

Registered students will also have access to our FB community where you may ask further questions and/or chat with other photographers and instructors in a closed informative group.  The best part, is that it’s always open, as most photographers seem to not sleep at all.

Our classes will be held in our Mooresville studio.  Our studio is located at 3-1/2 E Main St, at the corner of Indiana and Main streets, downtown Mooresville.

Prom Pre-Party Details

This event is free to all Mooresville High students attending prom and their dates/friends.  All you have to do is sign-up, show-up, and have a blast!  Make sure you follow us on instagram (@MWPImages) and snapchat (MWPImage) for updates and live posts from the event.

Time: 3pm – 6pm

Come out and be a model for a few minutes or a few hours, then enjoy the rest of your night.  Your family is more than welcome to jump in a photo as well.

We will be plastering these images all over Instagram, Snapchat, and Facebook for you to share!  High Resolution print images will be available for purchase within one week from our online gallery and we will have plenty of scheduled pick up dates from our studio.

High School Prom | Mattison Fields | Monrovia High School

It’s an honor to have been invited to shoot Mattison’s Monrovia High School Prom Images for 2 years in a row!  I’m looking forward to another year with my beautiful client/model.  Last year we took the opportunity to follow her around for the entire day!  We started with makeup at Ulta in Plainfield, hair and dressing in Monrovia, and finally a few formal and family images downtown on the canal before they took off for dinner and dancing.

I love high school prom time!  For one, it always reminds me of the fun I had going to prom.  Secondly, I get killer fashion forward images of my clients which they can share with their family and friends!  You know all of their other friends have that same backdrop and pose from the school photographers at the prom.  We amp it up a notch! 😉 Check out these few images from last year.

High School Prom

To think all of this happened prior to a fun-filled evening, just sets the mood.  I also forgot to mention her dress is just stunning!  Mattison enjoys fashion as much, if not more, than I do and travelled quite a distance to snag this beautiful gown.  I definitely tried my best to capture the detail sequin work up top, down to the flowing bottom.  Carter looks good in his tux as well.  A classic black tuxedo and complementary color combo and custom tie to mix it up, can’t go wrong.  Could you image if, after all of this preparation, the only images from the night were captured on a cellphone?  …I’ll wait… No?  Book Now!
